The Ecumenical Franciscans of the Renewal
The Ecumenical Franciscans of the Renewal are a semi-monastic community of brothers and sisters living in the world and working toward a renewal through a return to simplicity of Church and Society that is based in an authentic Franciscan mystical spirituality. We understand St. Francis to have been a man of prayer concerned primarily with the imitation of Christ. It was out of this spirituality that his concern for the poor and his desire to renew and reform the Church grew, and we seek to live out that spirituality as St. Francis did. The UAC Milwaukee (formerly Love of God Cathedral) is a multi-focal spiritual center in Milwaukee, WI. We offer several on-line worship alternatives, as well as the opportunity to be involved in important ministry activity and discussion groups in and around the local community. We welcome folk from every religious background as well as people who are new to the Christian Experience (we actually prefer to think of ourselves as followers of Jesus rather than Christians).
